Adnexitis is an inflammatory lesion of the ovaries and fallopian tubes. Both a one- and two-way process can develop. In terms of the frequency of occurrence, the pathology consistently ranks first in the list of inflammatory diseases of the genital area, which are diagnosed in women. The immediate causes of adnexitis are infectious pathogens, most often staphylococci (including golden), streptococci, pathogenic fungi (also called fungus), gonococci, as well as causative agents of a specific infection - mycobacterium tuberculosis (Koch's bacillus), chlamydia and others.
