Cervical erosion is a damage of the integration of the stratified squamous epithelium of the cervix. As a rule, cervical erosion is asymptomatic; it can be detected during a planned visit to a gynecologist. But in some cases, erosion can manifest itself as pink or brown spotting that can appear after sexual intercourse or spontaneously. Pain during intercourse may also occur. In addition, symptoms of concomitant diseases may occur, which lead to the development of erosion.
