If vaginitis is left untreated, the disease can become inveterate, thereby causing serious complications. The main most common and real reason is a disorder of the internal flora of the vagina, inflammation of the epithelium of its mucous membrane due to the ingress of foreign flora: bacteria or viruses, bartholinitis, metritis, etc. Non-infectious vaginitis is possible, for example, with epithelial trauma, burns.
